CONSTRICTED BOA

Cracked down the back.  Rattled.  Dry.
Seams splitting fast as a zipper.

Calculated plans.  A convincing collapse.
They'll find me deflated and empty.

News will spread.  Buzzards will swarm.
My carcass will lie on the heap.

As I slither away far from the fray
Unrecognizable, and perfectly pink.
